Barmouth Slabs

Mid-Wales

The Slabs have a beautiful view over the Mawddach Estuary, and host a good range of low grade routes ideal for groups. There are a couple of more challenging routes towards the far left hand side of the lower slabs.

The crag is on private and the owner charges local outdoor educational centres for access. Due to the CROW Act Individual climbers now have a stautory right of access.

Parking and Approach

Please park on Panorama road in the large layby, there is often minibuses from local groups, Do not drive up the smaller road past Bunkorama.

Group Advice

The Crag is an ideal crag for groups however be advised that multiple centres from the area use this venue and it can become very busy. 
Area information

A very extensive area -extending from the sea-cliffs of Cardigan in the south-west to the mountains of southern Snowdonia (Cadair Idris and Yr Arran massif) to the gritstone outcrops of the Rhinogau, to the old slate quarries of the Dinas Mawddwy and Barmouth areas and as far east as the Berwyn hills.
