Thrunton Crag

Northumberland

The crag has extensive views of Whittingham Vale and further to the Cheviots. It is made up of several seperate buttresses spread across a steep and vegetated hillside that is difficult to cross. There are a number of good routes, particularly on West Buttress.

Crag information

Moving between buttresses across the hillside can be difficult. Because of this it is probably best to use the forest road at the top of the crag.
