The BMC is a complex beast. So to help you understand what all the bits of the BMC do, we're encouraging interested BMC volunteers to set up a blog on our webserver. So far we've got the following for your reading pleasure:
Current blogs:
Archived blogs

BMC Alpine Meet
Daily updates from the 2007 BMC Alpine Meet. The ideal way to find out what it was all about. |
What is a blog anyway?
It's essentially an online diary. Anyone can keep one, it doesn't need any geeky knowledge.
What sort of commitment is it?
As much as you want. An Area Committee might fancy a long-standing blog that gets updated every month or so, a competition volunteer, perhaps a single event. However for potentially delicate issues (e.g. crag access) a blog may not be appropriate.
Why have it hosted on the BMC webserver?
It will look and feel the same as any normal blog. but will have the web address www.thebmc.co.uk/blogs/yourblog. You have complete control of the content, but we will help you get readers by promoting across the site and in Summit magazine.
How do I set one up?
Just email alex@thebmc.co.uk to get things moving.
