Owned and managed by the BMC on behalf of all climbers, Craig Bwlch y Moch at Tremadog is an iconic traditional climbing venue. But poor behaviour and wild camping by a minority of climbers is threatening relations with neighbouring landowners at this popular site.

Craig Bwlch y Moch Descent Paths

A quick reminder to climbers at Bwlch y Moch that walking descent from the top of the cliff is only by way of the two recognised descent gullies, and not to cross the fence at the top or use the grounds of the neighbouring land owners.

Recent developments, poor behaviour by some climbers and the rise in popularity of this excellent site have caused concerns for the owners of this Nature Reserve. Negotiations are underway to protect access to this nationally important climbing site, but some new restrictions could be imposed.

Clwyd Limestone - Nesting Restrictions Update

Following positive meetings with Denbighshire Countryside Service and local bird expert John Lowton-Roberts the climbing restrictions for the Eglwyseg valley for 2010 have been agreed. The countryside service praised climbers' behaviour and are keen to encourge responsible use by climbers of the cliffs in this Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty.
