For over 25 years the BMC has been supporting cutting-edge climbing expeditions around the world, with help from UK Sport. Now you can access all the reports online here on the BMC website.
The BMC has supported nearly 900 expeditions since 1975.
Find out more about BMC expedition funding
One of the conditions of BMC funding is that the expedition filed a detailed report once they got back home. Yet despite containing a wealth of information on logistics, weather, and, yep, unclimbed lines, these reports were consigned to the dusty shelves of the BMC library - only browsed by a select few.
But as part of the continual upgrade of the BMC website, that's all changed. We tipped all the boxes out, sent the reports off for scanning and persuaded international expert Lindsay Griffin to categorise them into modern, relevant expedition destinations.

And we need your help
Have you even been on a BMC/MEF funded expedition? We'd like you to check out the database and find your expedition. Check the summary (and maybe email kate@thebmc.co.uk a new one if required), then see if we've got your report.
If your report is missing, please send us an electronic version (Word or pdf) to nick@thebmc.co.uk.
We want to say a big thanks to every BMC member who continues to support us through the Coronavirus crisis.
From weekly Facebook Lives and GB Climbing home training videos, to our access team working to re-open the crags and fight for your mountain access, we couldn’t do it without you.
Did you know that we've launched a U27 membership offer for just £1.50 / month? And with full membership from £2.50 / month, it's never been easier to join and support our work:
