One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to promote club membership. The BMC has over 300 affiliated clubs, many of which are very vibrant with members of all ages and abilities. If you're new to climbing and walking, or you're moving to a new part of the country it’s worth checking out the clubs in your area. Clubs are a great way to meet like-minded people - BMC membership is also much cheaper via a club than as an individual. Food for thought.

Joining the BMC could save you money. That's right, by showing your membership card you qualify for a discount at over 800 outdoor shops − and with most offering at least 10% off you won't want to go shopping without it!
The UK’s birds will be scouting around for nest sites and raising their young. Why not play your part towards conserving our feathery friends and stick to the BMC’s agreed nesting restrictions.
The BMC constantly strives to improve its insurance services, taking into account your feedback, so this year sees some significant improvements, with new rates and policy options.
We have a process for BMC members who are members of more than one BMC affiliated club to reclaim their multiple membership payments.
The BMC has secured an important agreement to replace old bolts with top quality resin anchors at one of the country’s best crags.
