From 1 September 2017, the BMC entered into a partnership with Cotswold Outdoor, Snow+Rock and Runners Need. As our recommended retail partners, BMC members can get a whopping 15% off their purchases online and in store.
How to get your discount
If you are shopping in store, all you have to do is flash your BMC membership card (or BMC affiliated club membership card) at the checkout to get your discount. Please remember that T&Cs will apply, and you won’t be able to get the discount on items that are already reduced.
For online purchases, there will be a code to enter at checkout. The code can be obtained by checking the back of your BMC membership card or by contacting the BMC office: office@thebmc.co.uk / 0161 445 6111 or by directly messaging us in on our social media.

What is the Explore More scheme?
In June 2019 Cotswold launched Explore More , which is their customer loyalty programme. They also now use this programme to administer the discount offer in store for their partner’s members, these discounts are not available to general members of Explore More, only to their partner organisation members.
There are additional benefits to being part of the Explore More scheme which will benefit BMC members:

The system is also used for Cotswold to report our members spend back to us and (when relevant) trigger additional payments to the BMC to further contribute to the work we do on behalf of our members and communities.
What if I don't want my data to be used by Cotswold but still want to redeem my discount?
The Explore More scheme is required to administer the programme and you can specify the use of your data i.e. if you are concerned about data use you can request that it is not used in any other way other than to administer the discount on your purchase when in store.
What does the partnership involve?
Cotswold Outdoor, Snow+Rock and Runners Need have an established partnership programme with many other like-minded outdoor organisations, such as the Mountain Training Association, Plas-y-Brenin, The National Trust and The Ramblers. The BMC have had a long-running relationship with Cotswold Outdoor, Snow+Rock and Runners Need and this evolution of the partnership formalises many of the existing elements.
In return for supporting our work, we will promote Cotswold Outdoor, Snow+Rock and Runners Need as our Recommended Retail Partners, and all BMC members will receive a 15% discount in Cotswold Outdoo, Snow+Rock and Runners Need
