Better Bolts Campaign 2011: Bolts ordered!

Posted by Dan Middleton on 08/06/2011
Better bolts for free

Earlier in the year, the BMC once again invited regional bolt funds to apply for donations of free bolts as part of the Better Bolts Campaign. 8 groups applied for equipment from a total fund worth £10,000. So, who is getting what and for where?

Our bolts are manufactured by Bolt Products in Germany, and should be ready for distribution fairly soon. The distribution for 2011 is as follows:

Cumbria: bolts and belays for sea cliffs worth €1,500

Dorset: 60 retrofit lower off pigtails worth €516

North Wales: bolts and belays worth €2,350

Peak: bolts and belays worth €500

Peak - Gary Gibson: bolts and belays for Smalldale and Masson Lees worth €390

Yorkshire: bolts and belays worth €3,075

South Wales: bolts and belays worth €780

South West: bolts and belays for Avon Gorge worth €1,150
